Message from our President

Imagine yourself walking down Newbury Street. Designer stores, giant buildings, and glamor galore. But if you were to turn the corner and go down a few blocks, you'll find yourself in a ghetto. Boarded up houses with their paint peeling. People begging on the streets. Trash at every step. Although we like to think of Boston as perfect, we do not care enough for our homeless. Many of them are veterans, reformed inmates, or just people who made a silly mistake when they were younger and are trying to change. But they don't have a chance. My parents are Syrian immigrants. I am aware of the full effect of poverty around the world. But when they came to the US, I doubt they'd find it here to the extent that it exists. Although it is not as bad as it is in other countries, the number of impoverished is a problem. We can't get them homes, but we can try to make their lives a bit easier. Donate or volunteer at one of our events in order to ensure our success. Thank you.
